What do you get when you mix dolls and beat-em ups in a video game? Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of plastic. This is an enjoyable multiplayer game that has a Little Big Planet feel to it. To begin with, the graphics are pleasing to the eyes. I enjoy the real look of the dolls, aka your fighter. The music in the game is enjoyable and catchy with its “oriental” charm. The sound of every punch and kick is delightful. The game itself has many different modes on multiplayer, yet online play is surprisingly absent (why do you make things so hard on yourself Sony?). These multiplayer modes include king of the hill and capture the fish (which involves throwing a fish in a basket to score while enemies pummel you). Single player offers rewarding challenges that are enjoyable and teach you how to play the game. The best part of the game is the involvement of the SixAxis controller to perform the special moves. You go from shaking the controller to form a giant lightning bolt to hurl at your enemies, to raising the controller in the air and bringing it down to cause an electrical blast. It’s all really fun . This game is enjoyable and Sony has finally found a game that uses the SixAxis very well. Gather round the TV old school style and get ready to talk smack face to face.
